Why a workout plan should cover muscle groups

A session should include the movement patterns you train, instead of a shuffled list of exercises.

A shuffled workout feels productive because it is full. Five exercises, a timer, a new order every visit. Full is not the same as covered. You can train the same pattern three times and skip the one the week was supposed to include.

Coverage means the session accounts for the muscle groups and movement patterns you actually train. A push day that never pushes, or a week that drops a hinge because the template ran out of variety, is a plan that was assembled rather than checked.

Pact generates the session with a compiler that checks that coverage. The plan template stays the source of what you train. The session you walk in with is a selection that still covers those groups, with variety across visits. It is not a random list, and it is not a promise about a physique result. It is a check that the hour matches the week you said you were doing.

Once you are in the session, the useful record is still the sets you completed. Progressive overload without a scoreboard is how those sets get compared next time. If you train with someone else, a private circle is how they see that you did the session, without a public feed.

The check is there so you can start. Pact is the Android app that builds the session that way. Start from Pact.
